sys_fan help

hey just got my computer for Christmas and right now I'm plugging in all the cables to the mobo... the thing is my pc fan is a 3 header and the sys_fan spot is a 4 is there anyway I can fix this or would I have to buy a new fan ...

I have a gigabyte a320m-hd2 and the case is the corsair corbride that comes with the fan

Plug the 3-pin into the 4-pin. It has tabs on it and will only align one way. Case fans to sys_fan and CPU fan to cpu_fan or similar.

You can connect 3pin fans to 4 pin headers. It's keyed so it can only go on one way.

Yes most newer gen boards generally support 4-pin PWM Fans for mostly all the available headers, which are keyed in such a way that allows them to all also be used via 3-pin DC fans should one need to do that, so sure it will work just fine.
