i7-7700k temps whilst gaming
Games where I use a headset I don't care if fans running max and creating lots of noise as the headset blocks it allowing for a higher overclock.

Games where I use speakers I'd like to keep fans quieter and happy to run at the 4.5 (boost) maybe less depending on the game.

I'm trying to decide on my fan curve with this new system but unsure of what temps would be considered reasonable/not to exceed whilst gaming. I know it can run hotter than my previous 4790k but I'm trying to create different fancurves and overclock settings depending on the games I'm playing.

What should sort of temps would be ok?

Thanks,
Merry xmas all

You sure that was the voltage? Maybe when idle, how about when you run the CPU @ 100% load?
1.29 is autovoltage....not sure what it was idle or load as I set it myself shortly after getting it.

I know for 4.5 Manual Vcore of 1.140 is stable. Min is 1.128 and peaks at 1.176.
4.5 using Dvid (Gigabytes dynamic voltage) of -0.135 I get lows of 0.528 and it usually sits on 1.188 under load but on occassion peaks to 1.2. This is essentailly a vcore of 1.155 (1.29 -0.135 = 1.155) since 1.29 is the bios auto voltage..1.155 also shows in the bios to so I know my math isnt wrong.

In theory a Dvid of -0.150 would bring vcore to the same 1.140 when I set it manually but it crashes. I'm happy with the the settings for 4.5. Will look into adjusting other things for higher clocks in the future but for now I after 4.5 at the quietest I can manage. I think 60ish with spikes to 70 allows me to lower rpm % on my fan curve increasing temps to 80ishnand reducing noise.

Load up CPU-Z, while that is running, apply 100% load (like with IntelBurnTest) to your CPU and see what the CPU VCore changes to, as it will fluctuate a bit.

Cant right now, not at home. My post above says what it is when under load using prime when using DVID. 1.188
Spiking to 1.2 very occasionally and very briefly, then returns to back to 1.188 for the majority of the test.

Opps didn't notice I was logged in on second account, Peabrain, with my tablet when I posted some replies.

Thanks for the tips. Will hopefully get to tweak fan curve more and maybe even test how the new cooling setup works when overclocked soon.
