Using RAM with different timings?
I currently have 8GB DDR4 2133 mhz from Patriot Viper. On Christmas I'm getting 16GB DDR4 2133 and its Corsair Vengeance RAM. Could I use these 2 sets together even though the timings are different for each? Will it slow down, affect performance? I'm running an Intel Core i5 6402P on a B150 motherboard. Thank you.

I would use the exact same model as your original just because sometimes it might not work correctly and go into single channel. Dual channel is definitely important and it's better to get the exact same Patriot Viper 8gb DDR4 2133mhz ram stick. But I'm not a professional so idk, i just know what I was told.

I suggest you don't mix. It may cause stability issues and/or slow downs.
Scratch the 8gb and use your 16gb Corsair.

never mix timings buy the same ram you installed

You can mix timings but you have to default to the looser timings, ps and you need to have some aptitude using your mobo bios ie ram settings specifically.

90% chance there should not be any issues by mixing Ram.
Modern motherboards are intelligent enough. The Mobo will automatically scale all the Ram sticks according to the lower acceptable value. (Latency, Bus speed, Voltage, etc) , you can also adjust them manually from BIOS.

Of course, you can. Possibility that different timings DIMMs will refuse to work together not more than in case with the same timings.
But, as it was told already, you will need to set worst timings.

You can mix, assuming they have the same CAS timings and voltage.

But its really best to Match not Mix.
