My first PC Build - Need Help
so I'm building my first pc and I signed up for pc part picker and made a pc build idea and I am just wondering if some experts can tell me if this is going to work and if I am missing something important.

I'm just asking for some tips that you would give to a beginner like if the power supply is strong enough etc.

I am looking to play some new and old titles. Some new games coming out like fortnite (All online, I don't play singleplayer) and some classics like csgo. I'm going to be playing on a 1080p monitor and I'm making an ATX size pc.

If you could just help me out I would be very very grateful, if you need more details pls don't be shy. THANK YOU!

P.S. I did not include a case in this build because I already have my eyes on a case at my local pc shop so I do not need help for that.

THIS IS WHAT I CAME UP WITH ON PCPARTPICKER.COM. LINK TO THIS: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/kacperteo/saved/9Fyyf7

Yeah, I'm thinking now more on the side of HDD. I read an article where there were very little to none differences in game and sometimes the HDD even came out on top over the SSD. Also, I think it's a good first choice as it's my first pc and ill get the cheapest and most effective thing. Later on the road, I will definitely need to switch out and remake the PC as now more and more demanding games are coming out and this PC will not last long with such budget components so then I can invest and add a lot more into my PC such as an SSD.

That bit about no difference in gaming between HDD and SSD is absolutely wrong, and there is no possible way a HDD is faster than SSDs. SSDs don't give you more FPS, but they can dramatically lower game loading times and pop-in, and they will make your system much more responsive in general. I hate using a computer that makes me wait as my time is very valuable. For budget reasons, go with a bigger hard drive, but I would prioritize upgrading to a SSD in the near future.
Most of it has to do with how much system RAM you have to avoid using the hard disk for caching the next set of files to be loaded into system RAM. An SSD will only load a game faster into RAM compared to a normal hard disk. A really notable example of this is Skyrim Special Edition...where the entire game can be loaded into only 8GB of system RAM and it significantly speed sup the loading times. Games that are 32bit need to be large address aware in order to do that.

Here is what she looks like inside because of the modular PSU ;-)

I will PM you at PCPArtPicker.

Edit....I might have just saved you some money on that Core i5 plan of yours:

That's dope thanks so much, I was tho just thinking that the ryzen 5 is much stronger and beefier. The graphics card is also not to my liking because the early model will not be able to support the latest games in a year. That's a really good setup tho.

Edit: nvm I got confused between the rx580 and the 980 geforce sry

Hardly.

Intel has always had a raw power advantage over AMD, and probably always will. AMD Ryzen is a very good budget proposition, it's good value for money. But it's no match for current Intel hardware in a direct face-off.

Get at least 250Gb SSD to put OS and app that benefit from faster speed on it. No amount of HDD can compete with a simple SSD when it comes to OS.

So I should get the 1T hdd and a ssd too? Is the system automatically going to know which one to use or am i going to have to set something up or change them?

Windows seamlessly and automatically integrates however many drives you have. Once everything is set up, it's easy to forget you actually have multiple discreet drives fitted.

You typically start by installing the SSD, and then installing Windows and all your Drivers and Browsers and bits onto that. Once it's working, you then fit however many HDDs you want and configure them as needed. After that, it's as simple as selecting which drive you want to install things onto. Your only interaction comes when you actually install things; you get a popup asking which drive you want to install to. Beyond that it's automatic.

Budget concerns kind of strip away the thought of an SSD.

I would recommend 2TB. I actaully use a 1TB external for all my Valve Software games. Everything else in my Steam Library is on the main hard disk. My Steam Client is always installed on my external for portability reasons.

It should be just fine.

for portable reasons installing the steam client on an external drive? wtf? you know you can have multiple pc online with the same account. No reason to make the client slower by moving it on an external drive...
