How do you use a Mapped Network Drive as a Steam Library in Windows 10 Version 1903
My network mapped drives are not showing in Steam even as Admin,I added enablelinkedconnections in regedit so they show up with Admin Pref, here is how if you don't know how, it works with Windows 10.. https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/3035277/mapped-drives-are-not-available-from-an-elevated-prompt-when-uac-is-co

Still not working, anyone know why or has Steam blocked them to stop you using mapped network drives..?

This did work, I have a Steam Library on one of my mapped network drives,if Value have disabled it then its silly cause the more space you have for games the more you will buy.

you need to map it and assign a drive letter
then make a steam library on it

steam -> settings -> downloads -> [steam library folders] -> [add library folder]
on the top, select the mapped letter, then path for steam games

but you will need to make sure that network share is mapped with read and write access
Yup its that simple, like any other drive. I've used my NAS as a steam library before and it wasn't an issue.

I wanted to let anyone using Windows 11 know, that I followed these instructions and from what I can tell these instructions work in Windows 11 too.
