If you really want something high end, go for Sennheiser's regular high end headphones and slap a mod mic on it. The GSX1000 has a maximum recommended impedance of 150 Ohms so I wouldn't suggest going any higher unless you want to crank your volume to the max to get any audible volume out of it.
Yes you did and I took your advice and I posted in the correct thread.
Why not look at Sennheiser headphones? You're using their DAC, after all. It would definitely be a good place to start.
As for headphones, what sort of sound signature are you looking for, or what's your sound preference? I occasionally game using my Oppo HA-1 DAC combo and headphones (I've got a number of headphones so I use whichever happens to be close by, or whichever I'm in the mood for. Since going this route, I've not looked back.......last pair of 'gaming' headset was a Razer Black Shark and it was a pile of steaming crap.
Edit - I also have a pair of Creative SXFI Theater, not a bad piece of wireless audio kit, great for movies and decent enough for games, but I still prefer my Oppo HA-1 + Sennheiser HD6XX/HD600/ENIGMAcoustics Dharma D1000/MD HFM HE4XX (these are the headphones that are on rotation now.
Yes it is wireless but you can use it with a wire and as a stereo headphone without the 7.1 gimmick thingy, I asked about them especially for the vibrating headset. That`s why I`m open for better suggestions.
Of course you could buy something for portable use then again if you wanted that you could had gone something which worked portable too from the beginning.
For portable use if you don't need all that much powerful currently the Radsone ES100 is a nice pick for bluetooth connectivity and competition is Fiio BTR 3(5?) and Shanling UP2, soon there will be a Fiio BTR 7 which is likely the nicest option among those, that's cheaper stuff which aren't all that powerful, but I don't know if you need powerful.
One cheap decent headphone is Drop Sennheiser HD58X.
To some, a good pair of headset needs to have strong bass, but a boomy bass overwhelms the audio cues one might pick up with a more balanced pair of cans. To me, gaming headsets tend to be more bassy, makes sense to the makers as a bassy can adds excitement to the sound, but often at the expense of mids, and it's this that we can pick up soft audio cues as to where an enemy might be.
I've not tried the HD58X so I can't comment on its performance, but I have read about it, the HD58X should perform similarly with the HD6XX, and at 160USD, it's a good buy for someone seeking a good pair of audiophile cans that's great for music, and handles games nicely enough. I'd advise OP/TS to drop any notion of 'gaming' headset purchase and focus on a good pair of audiophile headphones......like the HD58X, HD6XX and HFM HE4XX. I have the HE4XX as well...

I think there was some issue with the grills on these:

More expensive:

HE4XX:
Sensitivity: 93 dB
Impedance: 35 ohms
HD58XX:
Sound pressure level: 104 dB at 1V, 1 kHz
Impedance: 150 ohms
Unclear whatever the first is at 1 V or at 1 mW but I'd assume at 1 V meaning the HE4XX is way harder to drive, so something like a BTR 5 or 7 or whatever it's called may not work great with those.
