NVIDIA Control Panel Error

When I try to open the Nvidia Control Panel, I am shown an error message.. it reads:
"You are not currently using a display attached to an Nvidia GPU."
What can I do to solve this?

so what NVIDIA GPU do you have?

GPU could be faulty
You think you have it but you dont
Try reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers, may resolve it if nothing else is wrong with it.

The computer is completely brand new and yes, I have updated the drivers
