DPC Watchdog Violation
Hi friends! After completing my system not too long ago, it appears as if Dying Light, after maybe half-an-hour to an hour, slows down to a crawl and simply locks everything up within a mere second. After letting it sit, unable to do anything, I received the stop code DPC Watchdog Violation on a BSOD. According to the info I've read on it, the causes vary heavily and I would appreciate some more insight on it. I'm eager to figure the problem out.

AMD FX-9590 @ 3.3 Ghz
ASUS 970 Aura (Haven't updated BIOS ; I ought to get onto that)
GTX 950 2Gb (Driver 376)
8.9Gb Usable (2x4Gb, 1x2Gb, 1x1Gb ; they should be implemented properly)
1Tb HDD 5400 RPM
500W Antec PSU
EDIT: Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm already aware of the two noteworthy issues in the specs but those seem to be fine for now.

Don't mix RAM - this can cause stability issues or wonky things to happen that are hard to pinpoint or isolate specifically to what the exact problem is.

I'd strongly suggest removing the 1x2GB and 1x1GB. Running with 8GB (2x4GB) of RAM should be ample for your system.

I'm not claiming that this will fix your issue, but stranger things have happened before.

As for your DPC Watchdog Violation:
It appears it could be a handful of things - device drivers, windows issue (bad files/drivers/update), antivirus, corrupted HDD....those are just the first handful of possible issues I came across.

I'd suggest doing two basic things:
1) run a chkdsk /r /f on your hard drive. If you don't know how, google is your friend.
2) run a sfc /scannow. if you don't know how, google is your friend.

No worries; I understand. Many thanks for your suggestion and I'll get on that immediately :)

I'll post this here, too, since you replied just before I updated my initial post:

That's what initially spooked me: the vast amount of possibilities. Didn't know where to start. My drivers *should be fine, I'd imagine (but I'll get to them eventually). I'd be more concerned with the HDD if that's a cause; found it behind a dumpster in a TiVo x'D. I'll get on those tests immediately. Hi there Google, you may not remember me, but I swear we've met before...

For starters, ditch that 1x2GB and 1x1GB
Just try with the matching 2x4GB and see how it does.
DDU out your GPU Driver and get 368.81; no GFE, dont update it.
