i know im more concerned about bottleneck. I'd be replacing a gtx 460 1gb relic, so either will work just wondering which will work best with the cpu.

I would go with the 470 because it is the stronger card. Does not have anything to do with your CPU there was going to be a CPU bottleneck anyway depending on the game. But I say the 470 because you will be able to push the graphic settings further. When you replace the CPU/Mobo/Ram the 470 will peform even better than had you gotten the 1050ti.

Try to unlock your cpu to x6 1605T and RX470.
