Is the ASUS ROG GL552 a good gaming laptop?
Getting the laptop in a month or two, this is the limit in my budget.

Is there a reason you are going for a laptop instead of a desktop?

I am going to college next year, and I would like a personal PC that will fit my TINY (no joke) bedroom. Also prefer to have more privacy.

Close or at the same price, get an ASUS laptop with a GTX 970m instead of the GTX 960m. 20% better gameplay performance difference or something like that, but there is a significant upgrade from 960m to 970m. I have the Asus ROG G751JT and got it for $1000 during a summer clearance sale on Asus' web store.

Asus released gaming laptops with the newest Nvidia graphic cards (1060, 1070, and 1080). Therefore, the gaming laptops with older graphic cards are cheaper. Laptops with older graphics cards from strongest to weakest: 980m, 970m, 965m, 960m, and 860m.
