i7-6700K or GTX 980 Ti?

Hey! Should I buy the intel i7-6700K (I actually have an i5-6600K) or should I upgrade my GTX 960 to a 980 or 980 Ti? I don't really know.

an I7 6770K from my knowledge doesnt increase gaming performance much, its more aimed at rendering, a GTX 960 is older now, so I would go for the graphics card, although there are cheaper options our there which are just, if slightly less pwoerful, such as the GTX 1060 or 1070

Thanks! I didn't expect someone to answer so fast! So should I take a GTX 1060 6GB or 3GB? Will it be compatible with my 550 W alimentation? Thank you.

No a i7 will give you 200+fps in most games running ultra its the best gaming cpu around atm. Most games run mainly on cpu. Id say get the gpu. Preferably a 1060 6gb. Or a 1070. The i5 will last another year or two b4 itl need a upgrade.

6gb. 3 is not powerful enough for most games iv got a 1060 6gb and it is amazing. It is almost as powerful as the 1080.

I dont know how much the 980 ti costs, but I would say it is relatively close to the 1070, If you get a 1060 6GB, the best ones from what I have heard are the Zotac edition, Dual and MSI

I dont know how much the 980 ti costs, but I would say it is relatively close to the 1070, If you get a 1060 6GB, the best ones from what I have heard are the Zotac edition, Dual and MSI

The 980 costs more then the 1060 6gb and is less powerful i think. Msi is $400. Not zure about the rest.

the CPU is good, an I5 is the standard for gaming nowadays

Yeah your cpu will last another 2 years b4 games will start to lag. Should do anyway so yes its fine you should get the gpu.
And its not gonna bottle neck eithee if you get a 1060 6gb.

if you really want to upgrade, wait for the 2070, otherwise getting a 1070 would be a waste imo.

GTX 1070 is more future-proof and slightly better perfromance then GTX 980 Ti.

Erhm, btw I just bought The Witcher 3 and I'm trying to play on High, even Medium but I can't get past the first cinematic, it lags so much. I'm guessing the game is trying to use another gpu but I only have my GTX 960. Had the same problem with R6 Siege but I could fix it in steamapps. Please, help D:
