Colour issue with BenQ gw2270 monitor

This issue only showed itself after a few days of use. Whenever there is a sudden movement of image on screen, the outline or shiluett of the image will remain for a split second in weird colours. Red and blue mostly. I'm probably not describing it very well, but it's extremely frustrating.
I've tried unplugging and reatatching the cable but that doesn't work. At first I thought the problem was that I was using an HDMI but the problem is still present when I use the PS4 with which I can *only* use HDMI. I've tried to search for this issue online and I'm found only one other forum post with the same issue: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2964202/fix-benq-gw2270-settings.html
This person has supposedly solved the problem but I don't understand the 1 answer given. Playing games with this effect present is freaking intolerable. Any help would be MASSIVELY appretiated, becuase I just got this monitor and I don't want to revert back to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ TV I was using before.

UPDATE

I changed the "HDMI RGB PC Range" under Advanced Picture settings from "RGB (16-235)" to "RGB (0-255)". Don't know if that will mean anything to anyone but it did sort of fix the problem, however it has made the picture look all washed out. I have slightly availed that problem by rasing the gamma a bit to the point that I kind of sort of don't notice if I just try not to think about it but STILL.... If anyone could let me know what the problem even was to begin with? And what another fix might be or what may have caused it. Becuase like I said; it was not like this to start with, only got that way with time.

I have the same monitor as a secondary one, I can tell you it's ghosting.
Go into the Picture settings, go down to the bottom, get to the other page and set the AMA to High. This will reduce the effect.
The premium setting will actually make it look worse, and when off, it's pure ghosting.
You will tolerate it after some time, trust me.

Yeah, all I can say is to get used to it. It has a 5ms response time, and for the price I bought it (A bit less than 100€) it's worth it.

This is not something I can get used too. I'll have to get yet another new monitor at some point to replace this one. Thanks for letting me know.

Sad to hear this. I notice the ghosting too, but I don't pay much attention. It's a good monitor if you're on a budget, not the best out there of course since you can get 1ms 144hz ones, but they cost a lot.

Hey I think I just fixed it. Turning AMA to off entirely seems to sort it, for videos at at least, don't know how it will look for games.

Go right down to the bottom of the picture settings and you'll find AMA. I fixed it by turning it off. but it seems that for others just setting it from premium to high works too. Didn't for me though.

It works! Thank you very much guys, i spent so much time trying to find what is going on with my almost new monitor. Turning off "AMA" helped me with this color issues.

At the beginning i didnt know where to find this "AMA" option just like Gxffers. For someone who will read this post in the future : You just have to open your monitor configuration options, i mean not in system, use buttons on the monitor and find the right thing (in "Picture" category)

Well, I see it has passed 1 year (and some) from this post, but I wish to subscribe to it since I have the same monitor with the same (EXACT the same) problem. I don't know how, but I was reading lots of articles on the internet and somewhere someone said that the 0-255 it is a much better then 16-235 which is a limited option and less stressful for .. whatever was stressful. So I did navigated in settings up and down until I have found this setting and then I set it to 0-255. Well, for now it works but the image indeed it looks washed up as you have said.
More, I contacted Nvidia support, thinking it is from the video card, contacted the Asus suport (my mother board) and then finally contacted the company from where I bought this monitor. All of them given be tons of settings and whatever (the company from whom I bought said that they will give me a new monitor since I still have guarantee on it) so that finally I see that freaking "0-255" option and the "RGB pixels" or "ghost pixels" (as i call them) have vanished.
I did read many reviews about this monitor, but for the 100$ this is THE best one and acceptable even for gaming.

So, the solution of this is " Picture advanced > HDMI RGB PC Range > RGB (0~255) " and from here one, walk around to take that "washed" image out from settings (video card setting, monitor setting, windows settings) and perhaps youtube for some more detailed settings.

Advice, we need to upgrade our monitor to a better one with a better resolution and our bosses (from work) to give us a rise so we can afoard a better monitor :)

I had an easyer fix by my tech person from who I bought my HD monitor. I bought a new cable:
Delock Cable High Speed HDMI with Ethernet HDMI A male > HDMI A male 3D 4K 2 m

And all settings are with my video card and not default, works like a charm.
