Then I have no idea, because sound from an hard drive are normal and can be loud.
A mechanical drive has a platter inside that spins and so it will make noise. http://imgur.com/a/M7eup
Also called hard drive, HDD, etc.
Opposite of a mechanical drive is a Solid State drive it has no moving parts since it is all flash memory therefore it is absolutely silent, and offers better performance.

I just used the word mechanical drive drive to try and differentiate from an SSD since those are becoming more and more popular.
A lot.
Sequential Reads/Writes are about 3 times faster (ex: copying pasting 1 very large file)
But the are about around 20 times faster with Random Reads/Writes. Something Windows is always doing and makes the computer feel very responsive. This also helps with games with long load times and that have a lot of loading screens.
See for yourself.

Im my opinion no. Most of my games are still on my mechanical drive. My 7200rpm Western Digital Blue loads games just fine for me. PS4 pro, and the XBOX one still use mechanical drives.
You know what I know what you are talking about, but I have never experienced that issue with my case so I am not sure how to fix that. I don't even have my drives screwed in I just slide them into the drive bays. But yeah I know what you are talking other people have had this issue with the case making nosie from vibration becing cause from the drives.
