Sony and Skullcandy make some decent Mic/Headphones combos for around $40. I think they're called "Uproars". They are fairly fragile, but you can expect that for its low price.

Best bang for the buck would be a combination of HiFi headphones and a separate mic.
Superlux hd681 and a Zalman ZM-MIC1.
Better soundquality then any headset below $100.
