Games will vary on load, will use your CPU alot.
If its not stable then you are just running the high risk of crashing.
Prime95 not stable for any test for at least a few hours, then something is wrong.
But usually I just do IntelBurnTest for about 1 hour. That whole 24-48 test, that is more of a break-in for a new system. Like when I do a brand new build, yes we run tests that long. But that doesn't mean every test you do later on needs to be that long. That just helps me ensure it should be stable after the customer takes it home. As such a burn-in test, if there is a faulty part right away like CPU, RAM, Motherboard; or ineffective cooling, that should be revealed in those longer stress tests. This why if something is faulty, I can have it replaced right away, not having the customer turn around to come to me with issues in such a short period of time.
