[Solved] Issue with i5 4460 + gtx 1060 = very low fps
That is my good advice to anyone who wants to make this mistake, especially if they don't have budget for upgrading their CPU. There's a lot of videos on YouTube that show how great that CPU runs with GTX 1060, but it somehow just doesn't work like that.

BF1 Low Settings.

GTA V underperforms hugely as well, couldn't reach stable 60 fps in the city whatever the settings are. I thought it could be some GPU's issue, but... http://prnt.sc/dmm299

I think You re right and not right .

Of course i5 4590/i5 6500 are a better choice ! Never liked i5 4460/i5 6400 .

Yet , I think the new drivers sometime worsen the things . Uninstall Geforce Experience and from NVidia Control Panel select max performance . And tweak the power management mode

Something's not right here. You can get better results with a 750ti. I would watch your performance curves and see what is going on. You could have a driver issue or a virus of some type as well.

Your performance is consistent with the iGPU of the 4460.

The game should run butter smooth on ultra with the 1060.

Go to your bios and disable the integrated graphics adapter. It confuses games when they are enabled. 3D-Mark as a benchmark knows how to select the dedicated card and therefor gives proper performance.

I tried to do this already, no luck however. :C

I know I could. Before I changed for 1060, I've used 750 TI and it was seriously better than that. I reinstalled my windows, but it didn't give any effect so I suppose it's not a virus or a driver.

I tried to do this once in UEFI, disabled integrated gpu. No effect though.

If you just plugged the 1060 in without uninstalling drivers and installing them again fresh, that's probably a reason you're getting bad frames.

your fs score is normal

i5 4460 or similar will bottleneck gtx 1060 with some games others it wont.. gtav is very cpu intensive and not gpu intensive

As I said before, I reinstalled windows so it couldn't be that.

Oh yeah, but he's getting a lot more frames in this video than me. I can't get even stable 50 in BF1.

Make sure you are physically plugged into the video card with teh monitor and NOT the motherboard. If it's plugged into the motherboard it will be running integrated graphics and I heard someone already say your performance is like the iGPU of the i5-4460.

No, it's plugged into gpu.

No, it's plugged into gpu.
Your graphics card is probably broken then or something.

You should easily be getting over 70+ fps on ultra, not 40fps on low, lol. You did something wrong or you have a faulty part

Can't be. Benchmarks are decent.

As I said above, benchmarks are decent. I couldn't have done anything wrong. :S

Can you post a CPU-Z Validation please.

Check for any noises or signs of coil whine coming from the card. If it is a faulty card, you will be entitled to a full refund or replacement. Reseat the card, check the connectors and double check that you are running from the dedicated graphics card to be certain that it is hardware related.

Can you RMA it for replacement?

No noises. The card is quiet and cool. I am absolutely sure of DVI cable plugged into proper video card, not integrated one. It is well connected, no signs of anything wrong. Obviously I can RMA it, but I really have to make sure that it is the fault of GPU and not of anything else. It seriously doesn't look like anything is wrong with it.
