which player will you reomend for 4k movies and tv shows what are requirements?

What is best? VLC or Windows media player or another one? Also what cpu ram and gpu does it needs for 30 fps and what for 60 fps? Also why will they look on 1440p monitor?

I use VLC to view my 4K video's as i render game videos in the resolution, never had any issues with it..

I have an older i3 laptop ,and it can play these videos fine both via youtube and VLC, it only has 4GB ram in it..

So will my 2500k 3,3ghz 12 gb ddr 3 and gtx 970 g1 gaming be enough for 4k movies(actualy 2560x1440 because my monitor is 2560x1440).

Can you watch 4k movies on youtube..?

On youtube? No it lags a lot but that might because i have 24 mb connection. But i can watch 1080p 60 fps and 1440p videos.
