Then set a 60 FPS Frame Limit.
They help with framerate fluctuations and make the overall image smoother. I turned GSync off the other day to see what it felt like playing without it and man what a difference.
Agreed. Best gaming purchase I ever made.
If you come from a standard 60Hz LCD screen the sync techs are pretty impressive. Though if you have a good rig and are already used to 144Hz TN displays the step over to GSync is underwhelming. But when i switched to the XB271HU (GSync, IPS, 144/165Hz) that was a real eye opener. The increased image quality from IPS is pretty darnn great.
In retrospect i would recommend an IPS, preferable with high Hz support, over most other screens, regardless of wether it supports a sync tech and wether my used GPU is compatible with it.
Unfortunately HSN only offers the little FreeSync brother of my Acer, the one the OP picked, wich uses a TN film. And the IPS models on their site aren't really fit for gaming as far as response times go.
Regardless i really wouldn't throw $600 at a TN screen no matter how tempting. It's a waste of money..
I agree, not with such good IPS panels available for about the same price.
But RX 480 is way better card and more powerfull then 970 so would RX 480 handle 8K then?
I was saying that if a last generation card which is a bit weaker can do 4k alright with half the Vram then an RX 480 will do 1440p pretty well.
