@GSdragon: I found a video, no cable needs to be connected to the card, it takes power from the motherboard slot, hence no port for the cables.
In case the card is plugged in correctly, is there anything special I need to do make my PC detect the new graphic card?
@joetheplumber68:
My graphic card:
Asus Expedition GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
4 GB GDDR5 memory
Auto Extreme
Dual Fan

The majority of GTX1050ti s only draw 75w from the pci e slot so no external power is require only a few gtx1050tis draw 120w and need an additional power input.

Ps, change ^ OS in drop down menu accordingly ^.

I am afraid you lost me with the "boot to safe mode" part. Note, please, that English is not my mother tongue and I am not quite good in technical terms. *blushes* How do I enter this safe mode after restarting my PC?
Do you mean I should instal the Display Driver Uninstaller, clean any drivers that may still be in the PC using the DDU and restart? Do I need to remove the new card and plug the old one back in again before doing so?
The safe mode is called "emergency mode" in my language. I see. I know what that is afterall.
I cleaned the drivers I had installed and I am downloading the NVIDIA drivers 376.33 now.
The programme requiring payment that DDU links to did manage to detect my card properly, however, my Windows settings still refuse to identify it.
The new graphic card has been identified with the drivers and it seems to be working fine.
My sound settings somehow went totally screwball, but all seems to be fine now. :-)
When you run DDU, it has options there, you should select Safe Mode and then click Restart. This reboots the system and enters the Safe Mode of Windows OS; as this is best since such things you'd be clearing out, won't be actively running when in Safe Mode. Then you'd click NVIDIA in DDU and click Clean & Restart. It will clean out NVIDIA GPU Drivers, Software, and Registry entries for those. Then reboot the OS back into normal mode. Then you simply run your NVIDIA Driver Installer to reinstall GPU Drivers and Software. Once that has completed and exited, restart.
Thats what he means, most likely.
Nope, that is not what I meant.
When you launch DDU, there is a large orange button on the right saying "Update Display Driver (And ALL Hardware Drivers)". That is the link to the paid programme I spoke about. One does not need to use it though.
All seems to be fine, my new EX-GTX 1050 Ti appears to be running smoothly, and even relatively silently. I tried Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE and the improvement was tremendous, the games run on Ultra settings without any hickups. Space Hulk: Deatchwatch still seems too demanding to run on High settings, but one cannot expect miracles from a PC like mine.
Again, thanks for the help everyone. :-)
