yeah, guessing so. the only thing i'm wondering is - the metal "case" it slides into has one medium sized hole in it where all the wires come out. if i stick a new PSU in there, will i actually be able to get the various PCI wires plugged into the PSU and be able to get them all through the hole? it's possible some might not align with it correctly, and depending on size of the PSU i'm not even sure if it'll fit into the box. it's quite an odd design.
are PSUs all generally the same size? or do they vary quite a bit?
Luckily, cases can be dirt cheap if you don't care much about the quality. There are some for only 20 bucks or so that will work...
i'll see if i can get the metal box thing off somehow, but otherwise it seems a new case will be the way to go - i can definitely get the mobo out, it's just the screwball PSU setup that's holding things back.
thanks for the help!
they are a lil bit faster from what i saw by just lookimg on google
