1440x900 to 1920x1080, would there be any major performance difference?
Yo, im thinking of replacing my monitor (tv) with a slightly high resolution one such as a 1920x1080p monitor, Ive heard there will be performance differences due to larger resolutions, but would the difference be substantial?

Depends on your hw, the older/worse your components are, the bigger frame drop there will be, also depends on games, but id say the difference would be around 10-20 fps.

Need to know what CPU/RAM/GPU you have to give you an answer.
If your GPU is capable of playing 1080P then you should be fine.

Most modern GPUs can handle 1080p. It depends on how old or weak your GPU is.

Yes it'll be substantial, more dots simple as that.

Ps, when I swapped a 1680x1050 res for 1920x1080 I lost about 10-15fps with identical hardware and settings depending on the game. Regardless you're going to take a hit.

Mutiply whatever fps you get now by 0.6 should put you in the rough ballpark of what to expect.
There are too many factors to be precise, ie. bandwidth, vram, and some games may show little change if they are cpu limited.

1920x1080 is 2,073,600 pixels, while 1440x900 is 1,296,000 pixels.
That's about 60% more pixels in 1920x1080 than 1440x900
