Suggestion on graphics card upgrade.
This is my current graphics card:

Card name: AMD Radeon HD 7500 Series
Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
Chip type: AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x675D)
DAC type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
Device Type: Full Device
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_675D&SUBSYS_2B221028&REV_00
Display Memory: 4848 MB
Dedicated Memory: 1008 MB
Shared Memory: 3840 MB
Current Mode: 1920 x 1200 (32 bit) (60Hz)

Now in terms of processing power I litterally have no idea what this means. I tried going on AMD's website but it wasn't very helpful and I couldn't nail down the specific card I have. Right now I know I can't play games like Squad, Space Engineers, Arma III, the new CoD's, new Battlefield, etc.. unless its on very low graphics settings. Even then my machine absolutely struggles if it can play it at all (sucks too because I have 300 mbps down and 45 up, so I have rockin connection for multiplayer).

Should I be able to play those games or is it time for an upgrade? I tried running the auto driver update from AMD but it wont run on my computer for some reason. Since I can't specifically identify the card I can't find a manual driver update. The card is 2-3 years old anyway and we all know how fast things change in the computer world.

Either way I'm thinking of bumping up to a Nvidia GTX 1060 or 1070. Would either of those two be able play some of the new 2K and 4K games coming out (like ME:Andromeda and others)? Gimme some knowledge hommies. Thanks!

EDIT: I'd also like to stay away from AMD from now on. Every PC I've owned has always been stuck with AMD and they just suck.

To better define your actual Graphics Card (GPU)
Go into Catalyst or Crimson > click Help > System Information
Then your GPU should be shown there; for example, 7550 or 7570 (as those fall within 7500 series)

As for as AMD GPUs go, they are generally just fine, you just happen to have an old one that was not even very good for 1080p gaming at the time of release. Back then when the HD 7000 series was new, best bet would have been something along the lines of say, 7770 or 7850 for decent/smooth gameplay in most games (depending on the rest of your system specs as well)

All this aside, if you want suggestions, please tell us:
> Country you are purchasing in.
> Budget range that is acceptable for such an upgrade.
> Other hardware specs & OS helps too (such as current Power Supply)

Good bang for buck (under $300 range) now would be:
> NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti 4GB / 1060 3GB / 1060 6GB
> AMD RX 470 4GB / 480 4GB / 480 8GB

*Please note that with the very latest AMD & NVIDIA series of GPUs, VGA (D-Sub) most likely will not be a viable option for Display connection choice.

I checked on Catalyst and it still wont give me specifics like 75XX or whatever, just says 7500 series. I agree it probably wasn't great to begin with. Some of those other specs you are asking for...
>purchasing in US
>$400~ so basically its this or a new console
>Here are the other specs...

The PS4 Slim Bundle is $250. Used GTX 970s can often be found on Ebay or Craigslist for around $150. You can have both and still be within your budget while being able to play modern games at 1080p/60fps/high or ultra on PC.

If you dont really care about PS4 exclusives though and want a GPU that can play on 1080p then I would suggest GTX 1060 6GB. PS4 is worse when compared to PC in every cross platform game.

That is a good idea! PS4 is ok. I haven't owned a PS since I was 8, I've been a XBox player most of my gaming life. I am definitely thinking of that 1060 6GB though. I am super jealous of all these new games I can't play.
Problem also is having Dell (or OEM pre-build) Motherboard, I would ask Dell Tech Support if such newer GPU is compatible, also look up your Dell Service Code/Tag# via Dell.com/Support > go to Software Driver Downloads and see if there is a BIOS Update available; if so, download and install that prior to GPU Upgrade.

As with many OEM Motherboards from Dell/HP/Lenovo that are older, sometimes we see newer GPUs will not work in them.

I would avoid PS4 SLIM, they are very poor quality, just like PS3 SLIM was.
You can get the regular PS4 new for around the same pricing ($200 - 300 ranges)

Proof? The Slim has gotten good ratings from various review sites.
I have a PS3 super slim, which a lot of people said was "terrible quality" and it works perfectly fine and takes up less desk space.

I would suggest getting a PS4 to combo with your PC as Xbox One has next to no exclusives. 99% of Xbone games are cross platform and better on PC. And dont bother getting a Wii U, many of its best games will be ported to Switch when it comes out.

I have a 970 and it can play any modern game at at least high settings, if not ultra at 1080p/60 fps. The 1060 6GB is a bit stronger than the 970.
