i5 2300 TO i5 3470 is it worth an upgrade?
Is it a good upgrade if i don't want to change my motherboard? Or what would be the best upgrade? BTW right now i have an i5 2300 will it bottleneck my gtx 1060 3gb?
Thanks in advance :)

Yes the i5 is bottlenecking your card in some games.

I recommend getting nothing less then a used i7 3000 series.
- Make sure your BIOS is up-to-date before installing a 3000 series CPU.
Here is a chart of socket 1155 cpu's

You will be far better off getting an i7 than another i5.

I run an i7-2600 with a 1080ti without any performance problems.

If you have the right type of mobo most of these cpu's can run in a boost mode which increases performance, even though they are not overclockable.

Do i need to change my MB to get an i7?

How much would an i7 2600 cost, and do i need to change my MB to upgrade to an i7?

No you don't need to change your motherboard. Unless you want to overclock (Requires a i7 2600k or another K CPU), you will need a mobo with a P67 or Z68 chipset to overclock.
The only place to buy old cpu's is on ebay.

The list of cpu's supported by your mobo will be on the support page for the mobo on the manufacturer's website. It is almost certain that an i7-2xxx would work if an i5-2300 does. An i7-3xxx might need a bios update.
