Use ROG Realbench or OCCT, Prime95 or Aida64 for testing.
In XTU Stress it works, in Prime95 core#2-#3 says "error" not crashing..
Scythe Ashura 1000rpm lol.
Yeah that one core is broken because i had it at 5.5Ghz 1.5v and i guess i could use way more, i'm not sure how it works exacly...
5Ghz @ 1.25v on 4 cores...
so 1 core still needs 1.25 or 1/4 of the voltage?
The voltage is being applied to each core, gong beyond 1.4 ish is kind of getting risky, I'll be honest, I'm surprised it booted at 1.5.
uhm you seem to be new at this...
!!! Never go over 1.400v !!!
The only save limit is 1.500v and you ahve porwerspikes so that 1.400v is the line not to cross in OC. 80°C idle emans a bad OC in the end because it will instantly clocked down under load as it easily reaches 1100°C then. So in the end you get more performance when having lower clock and less voltage but stay even under load within the limits.
The only one from all that open his eyes... "i seem new to this because i want to seem new to this".
@all-here
Why is it hitting 80°C?
When you would have a decent PC knowledge, you would see that the cpu runs 5.3Ghz 1.4v @ "80°C" (Yes i put it in QUOTES the temp)
Looking at the Core temps the #0 is hitting 78°C but all other cores hit 50-75°C but the min-max of Core#0 is ? 76-83°C so you get it?
I will tell you, i did a overclocking for HWbot in a league, i push 1.5v 1Core 5.6Ghz... what happen... it booted "yay"... it didn't crash "yay"... it even could run a stress test "yay" so where is the problem? That my CPU could boot 5.6Ghz at even 1.3v not 1.5v... so because my CPU was so "fine" and i like deep throat it with 1.5v the Core#0 is broken or something....
Now after sending this out.. i need to take my IHS down and clean the paste etc... then apply a normal paste not liquid metal like the Grizzly Conductonaut that was on it... yes the cpu is delided... so yeah... i hope this will fix somehow the CPU.. if not... baking at 200°C and even if it brakes " i d g a f " because the cpu even shows error at 5Ghz 1.25v and before that stupid 1.5v run it was running perfect even 5.2Ghz 1.35v no errors... now i get ONLY error on Core#2-#3 (HWmonitor) But the unlogic thing is that Core #2#3 is in reality Core#1 (the 2 core in CPU, first core is core#0) and i did overclock it on Core#0 not core#1 so why the f core#1 is broken? No idea... if the i7 7700k dies i get myself a laptop...
