1440p @60Hz vs 1080p @144Hz
I am wanting a new monitor primarily to get better visibility. [My eyesight is not the greatest, having issues seeing people off in the distance in games that my friends pick up pretty quick and hard seeing let's say enemies head when they are headglitching in csgo sometimes] wanting either a 1440p monitor or 1080p 144Hz monitor with good color correction. I have a Gtx 980 Ti, Ryzen 5 1600, 16GB 2400Mhz. I play games like CSGO, PUBG, Rocket League, Battlefield 1, GTA V, and Overwatch. Recommendations would also be helpful. - Thanks Edit: Forgot to mention if I were to get a 1440p Monitor I would be getting a IPS Display.

if its vision you want just get the bigger monitor. Refresh rate only increases percieved smoothness of motions and isnt too important

Go get your eyes checked out as its them at fault if your friends can see what you cant on the same monitor.

What I always tel people is this.

If you are playing a game that requires fast reactions, go with a higher refresh rate. If you are playing a game that has great visuals, but doesn’t require fast reactions, go for a higher resolution monitor because if the art style of a game is beautiful and doesn’t rely on speedy reactions, why hold back on that specific part?

Most of the stuff you play is competitive FPS so 144 Hz 1 ms, with bad eyesight probably better to go for 27" 1080p, it has bigger pixel size then 1440p and makes spotting things easier and hud and text will also be bigger.
