Right now there's no reply from OP about the budget, full specs as that be in question of case, PSU, and amount of RAM OP currently have in the FM build.
G r e a t
for online stores use newegg or amazon instead
or if you can drive to a microcenter thats the best option
https://www.microcenter.com/site/stores/default.aspx
cpu/mobo and accessories are their best deals
ram, gpus and drives are spendy there, but you can get the entire build
they will match newegg and a few other online store prices
Since it doesnt include the gpu
Yeah... thats pretty much normal price for anything decent without a GPU
2200G / 2400G has a decent onboard GPU
AMD Vega series DX11/DX12 Win10 GPU
Later on down the road when have more funds; add a beefier dedicated GPU Card and maybe more HDD storage.
With a 2400G you'd basically be on-par with Ryzen 1600 + GTX 1050 2GB
The non-RyZEN APUs were terribly weak. Not that the Phenoms or FX were great.
Yes but still, facts are facts, no ways around it.
Nothing on the FM2 platforms comes remotely close to the CPU performance of an FX6 or FX8
And in comparison; a cheap 6th Gen Pentium runs circles around all of those FM2 or AM3 CPUs in modern gaming for the most part, as long as the game is not heavily relying on strong multi-threaded performance, Pentium stomps them in single core performance, which is still what MANY games rely on sadly. FX8 at least can still run modern games just fine for the most part, FM2 APUs/CPUs, yea not so much.
something like a 2200G or 2400G would be like a night vs day difference over an FM2 or AM3 based CPU and is also very affordable while also providing a decent enough GPU onboard to run pretty much any Games out there with more than decent playable results @ 1080p Medium/High
No it is not; its on par with GTX 1050 Ti
It can run plenty of games very well @ 1080p @ 30+ FPS like Wolfenstein II for example
Again if getting one, opt for the 2400G over a 2200G.
2200G is much more entry-level, not nearly as good for Gaming.

The radeon vega 8 isn’t as powerful as you think, the only thing that makes the ryzen run wolfenstein II at 30 fps is the cpu more than the gpu
Vega 8/11 = GT 1030. The Vega 8 / 11 from the Ryzen APU's were never on par with GTX 1050, and definitely not the 1050 Ti.
if you pair it with fast ram it will do alot better
most oems that use that cpu/apu will pair it with 2133 ram, maybe with a single dimm
it could be close or beat a 1030 depending on ram
but hitting 1050 performance is a far stretch for the apu
