Watercooling for my PC
Hello everyone,
my problem is i don't know what i should belive.

I want to only Watercool my CPU.
It's a i7 7700k, it's heavy overclocked. I want to hold it cool and quiet at full load etc.

I saw a Video where someone had 2x240mm Radiators vs AiO H110 1x280, the temperature difference was 5°C. The Custom cooling 2x240mm had the fans run at 1300rpm(120mm fans) and the 1x280 (140mm fans) where running at 1000rpm.

People say that their systems run Overclocked at 40-50°C in Prime95 small FTTs.
Now what should i belive then? Air cooling aren't banging, it's nothing special, even a SB-E Extreme or a NH-D15 (had already the D15).

Here is what i've found:
https://skinflint.co.uk/?cat=WL-834600
330€ +10Euro Shipping (it's a UK cart, because of the specifications.)
Unless you want it in german https://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-834600

Now, yeah, custom cooling is badass and looks cool, but are 200euros more worth the "look"?
The H110 vs Custom Watercooling made me think, i'm not sure what should i do.

Specs can be seen on my Profile.

I'm also thinking about 4x120mm or a 3x140mm radiator, because of the case compatibility. Now i'm using a LianLi T-PC70, will buy a new Case tho for the Watercooling.

It's more than just the look, it's future upgradability, it's room for more performance, it's futureproofing, it's a hobby, it's resale value, etc. Without knowing ambient temperatures in the above example doesn't of a 5C difference doesnt mean much, IMO. I think the biggest deciding factor for you should be do I want to put the effort into building and maintaining a custom loop? If the answer is yes, do it, if not, AIO.

I build PCs since 10 years, i put my PC so many times apart that i even can't count it.

Maintaining isn't a problem, the problem is that the more stuff you add the more it costs at the end. Now i'm watching a Monsta 480mm radiator, it's 80mm thick(high) O.o

The best performance = Mora3, problem is that i don't want external radiators.

I don't even know what Case i want lol.

Watercool Vs air cool is the same temps
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmAVaYjuveQ
The difference is that my 7700k is delided with a grizzly conductonaut + 5.2Ghz 1.35v. That makes the NH-D15 bit heavier. Also don't forget all the testing of AirCoolers are made on a open bench case. Not in a housing where all the hot air doesn't get 100% out etc. The Aircooler will also get some heat from the GPU.
I have a 7700k with a dual fan Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - idle temp 37c CPU burn test 71c
I don't really understand your question. You seem like an enthusiast that wants to squeeze out every inch of performance and make it look as cool as possible. In that case sure go custom water loop. For most users it's a waste of time and money. AIO coolers are a waste of money though.

That's is what I thought AIO coolers don't justify the cost what a $40 air cooler can do.

easy answer is to go with https://www.ekfluidgaming.com/ open loop on a budget of not much more than an aio, the only issue is you HAVE to only use aluminium parts, luckily, EK is extending the number of parts for it so you can grow the loop in the future.

by all accounts its only a couple of degrees warmer than a full copper custom loop, but hundreds cheaper.
right now im building my first full custom loop (actually taking a breeak,i just fitted the monoblock to my asus x299 prime deluxe and the 7900X now nestled beneathe it hehe) and i can honestly say its a headache lol, its fun, but man theres alot of parts, thats not even getting into the cost, my loop will come in at around £1100, and wont be that much cooler than eks fluid one for about £240 lol, if i hadnt already got the gpu's a few months before they released the aluminium kit, i can comfortably say id of used them instead of a full custom loop and saved hundreds.

Ym Sir, very interesting... 165Euros from EK.(Germany)
I'm very interested in that! I could make also a test :>

But yeah, mine has basicly the best possible parts.

The pump is #1 most silent also known as D5 Pump.

But seriously, this "pack/set" of EK is very interesting. Need to google a bit for tests.

yeah,. well, you can get a d5, but as i said, its price is freaking amazing, and ek are widely regarded as one of if not the best watercooling company.

im using ek monoblock, and gpu blocks, the res / pumps didnt suit my setup and their radiators were too wide to fit in the bottom of my phantek enthoo primo by 2mm sadly (480mm version), so went with alphacool rads, primochill res/pump and barrow fittings as they are the only people other than bitspower who seem to do them all in white and they dont have bitspowers horrible logos and by all accounts are as good, but much cheaper heh.

total if i count at time of purchase costs (ive had the speakers for along time now) is closer to £8k than id like it to be lol with the main actual pc consisting of around £5k of that

I just don't want throw my money out of the window, not because i can't afford, it's just i spend so much cash that even at age of 23 i'm buying ♥♥♥♥ for like 300euros and selling it almost new, 4Months old for like half the price... so at the end i make 100% minus.

This why i'm getting my ♥♥♥♥ together, i want to put a Watercooling, a normal one that gets the job done. Then OC it to the max, then put a new GTX2000 in it and then i'm done, wont touch it for next few years till it dies.

Ignore AIOs and get a Noctua.
I stay at roughly ~27c idle with no noise (95W 1600X). A pump would be noticeably louder than a Noctua fan.

Also the installation would be easier.
