GTX 1080 Coil Whine / Buzzing ?
Hey its me again ^^

I heard that some gtx 1080s do have a buzzing coil with a high pitched noise.

What modells (500-600€) come without that problem ?

Really dotn want to buy a flawed product

Thank you, I was plannign on buying the kfa2 1080 exoc, did anyone experience coil whine with it ? Otherwise I'd get a Zotac

All brands and all models can experience coil whine.

The ones that most likely won't have coil whine are the KFA HoF Limited Edition, MSI Lightning Z and EVGA KINGPIN, but they dont make 1080 of those models.

I wouldn't worry about this. Your chances of ever getting a card with Coil Whine are very low, and you can have the card repaired/replaced under warranty if need be. Coil Whine itself is harmless and you could get away with ignoring it.

It's also worth mentioning that some GTX1080s are so loud that you wouldn't notice Coil Whine even if the card was effected. My Asus GTX1080 Strix OC is disastrously loud - once the cooling system reaches 30% I actually have to turn up my speakers - meaning any Coil Whine would be the least of my worries.

Just buy your hardware and trust that you'll receive a working product. There's no reason or justification for worry or paranoia.
