Is the HPE ProLiant ML10 Gen9 Tower Server or the DELL PowerEdge T30 a good starter server for deploying dedicated servers?
I am setting up an online gaming service soon and wondered if the HPE ProLiant ML10 Gen9 Tower Server would be a good choice or the DELL PowerEdge T30

The specifications:
HPE ProLiant
Intel Xeon E3-1225v5 Quad-Core (3.30GHz 8MB) 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4 2133MHz UDIMM 2 x 1TB (7.2k rpm) Non-Hot Plug 3.5in SATA Intel RST SATA RAID DVD-RW DisplayPort 300W 1yr Next Business Day Warranty
DELL PowerEdge T30
PowerEdge T30 - Server - MT - 1-way - 1 x Xeon E3-1225V5 / 3.3 GHz - RAM 8 GB - HDD 1 TB - DVD-Writer - HD Graphics P530 - GigE - no OS - monitor: none - BTS

I will be running Microsoft Server 2016 Standard on it (which will be a headache as I'm only trained on Microsoft Server 2008R2)

I plan to deploy dedicated servers for these games:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/393380/Squad/

http://store.steampowered.com/app/222880/Insurgency/

http://store.steampowered.com/app/730/CounterStrike_Global_Offensive/

I'm leaning towards the dell as a knowledgeble person states Dell is the best one of the two but what do you guys think?

Just get a Pentium G machine. You don't need a xeon for a few game servers.

And I don't think that these servers will run on Windows server. And why would you use Windows server in the first place? Just get normal Windows.
I want to learn stuff on Windows Server as I will be a systems administrator for this.

This isn't what Windows server is used for..

These game servers will not work on Windows server.

Well I ran Windows Server 2008R2 with GUI years ago and deployed a Left 4 Dead dedicated server on it.

windows server 2016 will work OR windows 10 enterprise.. pro to a lesser extent.. you cannot run a successful server with a pentium g its not enough processing power ryzen or i7 8 series would be the way to go from scratch

there both the same systems except one has raid i would suggest building your own so its available for other uses as well

@Fluffy thanks - I need to find a decent server board then. I'd love a server board that can have more than one CPU but resources are limited at this moment as I'm looking to start up a very small IT firm.
