Do you know any ''safe'' way to activate win 7?
Some time ago me and my friend bought win 7 home premium 64bit for both of us because it was simply cheaper. Looks like we used the limit of possible installations (I installed it like 4 times in past 2 months because of new hardware). Now the CD key doesn't work and I have 21 days left to activate it or I'll get this beautiful black screen with this well known inscription in right down courner that my windows isn't legally... There's a ton of videos on youtube how to activate it but mostly it requires you to download something and can you please help me activate it or tell me whats the best way to do it?

I don't wanna spend 200$ for new Windows when I have my legal win 7...

Best way would be to just install Win10, it should activate with win7 keys no problem. Win7 is going to be a bit painful going forward, MS is pretty much forcing that.

I already used the free upgrade to win 10 once and it worked, I didnt have to use CD key. However now it wants me to type cd key when i want to upgrade again.

I don't think this cdkey will work for win10 if it doesn't want want to work for activating my win7

So in media creation tool I choose win 10 home, after installer is downloaded I just type my win7 cdkey and it should work?

Well last time I choosed win10 proffesional, that may explain why it didn't work

have you seen the SKIP button when running win 10 installer?

official windows 10 installers from microsoft always have this button.

You can always buy a windows 10 OEM key for about 20 bucks online, works fine until you change the mobo I believe.

Cheapest win10 oem I found was 100$

I'm trying Media Creation Tool again, I choosed to upgrade my OS to Win10 but it didn't allow me to choose version I want. Now it's downloading so see you in 1h.

When it ask for key, look for the skip options it's small text, can't miss it just look around the screen.

If you take a picture with your phone, upload it to imgur.com, everyone will literally show you the skip key option.

This same happened for me many years ago. I bought a retail Win7 and installed too many time in too short time. (hardware & learning process)
I SIMPLY CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY MY OWN EXPENSIVE 170€ LICENCE CANNOT BE ACTIVATED WITH ORIGINAL CODE.
After this episode I decided not to use any (if possible) Microsoft products ever.

And the answer to your question:
It is automated process but it can be activated by phone. I have done it once.

Alright, I'll look for it because I didn't see skip option last time, I'm still downloading it, 42% atm

I guess there's a way to later activate it to full version and I'm not talking about the ''pay 100$ for cdkey'' but something like windows loader right?
