None of those controllers actually control the fans, they only control the rgb LEDs, the actual fans need a separate source for power, I have my hd120/140's hooked up to the sentry 2 as it offers more power per channel and can handle 6 fans each so I only needed 2 of them.
So to help future users, what was the issue?
Sentry 3 is PWM compatible or 3 pin.
Corsair commander Pro doesn't only control LED and they can use and control all 3 and 4 pin Fans. There is no different technology or ports/pins for different brand fans.
Thanks for explaining that. Took me a while to figure out how to use the Sentry 3 at first i thought it was broken or something since i couldn't change anything till i looked at manual again.
This is from someone who is coming from a Commander FT from Thermaltake which is very different to this one.
