HELP!!! NZXT Sentry 3 Screen not responding
So i just installed a bran new NZXT fan controller in my PC and sadly it powers on and everything but i cannot set up the fan speed or anything because when i press on the touch screen nothing happens at all.

I am using Corsair AF120 LED Quiet fans, everything is powered on but the only thing that working is going between each fan which is 1,2,3,4. The temperature and what speed the fans are running at, nothing else works. I can't up or lower the fan speed, the slide bar for speeds doesn't work either, i can't link thhem or even shut off the screen for the controller. I think newegg may have sent me a defective product as before that fan 2 wasn't even wanting to show up.

Probably aren’t compatible.

if nzxt has specific fans that are supposed to work with it they should list them otherwise i think any fans should work with it. your not really helping as i stated the controller turns on but the screen has no response and fan 2 doesnt even show up on screen.

The corsair fans are used with their own controller.

i think any fan controller should work with any type of fan. im not about to blow more cash to get the another just because you think that.

-facepalms- what do cpus have anything to do with fan controllers. dont take me for an idiot... i studied computers so i know about hardwares when it comes to that and the nzxt sentry 3 has hot glue on the pcb in certain parts which im pretty sure isnt supposed to be there.

im saying that, especially if you studied computers, you can't believe that all hardware will work together.

look i know what im talking about plus i looked online for more info and discovered that newegg resells open hardware that has been sealed again to make it look bran new. if you want ill even take pics to prove to you what i have vs what nzxt shows on their website to prove that while the product may power on doesnt mean it cant have defects upon arrival.

A fan controller is a fan controller is a fan controller. The Corsair fans should work just fine as long as they are 4 pin. There is absolutely no way a fan controller can tell what kind of fan is connected.

What in that pic doesn’t seem normal to you?

Again, not all fan controllers are compatible. Corsair’s commander pro & base controller are used for their SP, HD, & LL fans.

i understand but my corsair fans are 3 pin and so are the nzxt ends on the controller to connect them are 3 pin as well. the issue is only certain functiond work on the touch screen.

glue on the end near the component that has a pass sticker and then where the sensor probe connector is on the pcb has glue on it too

The glue is normal. It’s just there so the connector doesn’t detach from the header. If you’ve properly connected power to the fan controller and the screen isn’t working the way the manual says it should you likely have a faulty unit. No fan will cause the screen not to function.

these are the fans i use in my case for clarification

also forgot to mention that the power connector only has 3 pins instead of 4

okay guys problem solved i figured out why it wasnt working before i re-read the manual on what is what and it works now. this one is so different to the other i owned >___<
