I'd also be looking at 16GB RAM, SSD, HDD, and GTX 1060...
For example the i7-7700 laptop version is 25% weaker as the desktop version i7 7700.
Of course performance in games isn't dependant alone on the CPU, but also on the GPU, RAM ammount/speed.
What? No, i7-7820HK is unlocked and faster.
Yes, with a base laptop price of approx $2000+ USD
And then there's the i7-8700K, which is even faster.
Which is newly released and will mean around a $2000+ USD starting point...
Best bet for the OP would be name a budget range, then we could make actual Laptop suggestions based around that instead.
Or just buy one with i5-7300HQ and save money. You are more likely to GPU bottleneck on laptop before you need HT.
If you feel you need an i7 class, sure get that, cause well you generally will not be able to change things like CPU or GPU in a Laptop, so get the best you can afford and/or would actually need based on your overall usages and expectations for performance.
Just avoid the CPU models ending in "U" as these are cut down versions, designed for maximum power saving.
I5-8350U is also good but haven't seen anything better than MX150 on it so...
