Yes.
I already ordered the EVGA, I was all sold on buying that ASUS, BUT. they jacked up the price $200 US dollars overnight. When I made this post that card was only $800 before taxes. Today, on Cyber Monday, its $1,000 before taxes and being called a sale. lol That last minute price hike lost them the sale.
Anyway, Ill update this thread next month when I install the card.
If so, just ensure it's ACX version 3.0 - not 1 or 2. They redesign it a few times (some minor faults in previous versions, such as the heatpipe design and the fanblades improved). Most latest EVGA card will have the latest ACX anyways, there's just a few exception where stores try to sell older model to cut costs.
EVGA with ACX Cooler 3.0 or ICX, I would personally recommend up there with ASUS STRIX DirectCUIII (Again, notice the redesigned version III).
Because it did. Overclocking at the end of the day depends on your luck. Also, the only thing bad about Founder's is the cooler, its PCB is well made. Stick a waterblock on it and it might easily OC more than a custom.
More so, you can't find a FE on sale neither did I suggest one.
You're talking nonsense.
I went with the model below. ASUS added $200 price tag overnight, so screw em.

This is what I bought. part of the reason I went with them, is I did buy a EVGA GeForce GTX 760 Superclocked w/ EVGA ACX Cooler about 4 or 5 years ago and it still works well today on my backup pc and gets daily use on my BDO alt account and even runs Ark on low settings at 40 fps.
So EVGA and gigabyte are 2 companies I have always had great luck with.
Just to clarify, ACX version 1 had a heatpipe design fault. ACX 2.0 fixed that issue. ACX 2.0+ also fixed another minor issue with heatsink design. ACX 3.0 is more of an improvement on the fans.
ACX 1.0 heatpipes didn't fully run across and one curved, causing an area of the board to be missed completely.
The redesign of the 3 heatpipes on the original ACX 2.0 then did not make full contact with the chip on the card in some cases, which is what ACX 2.0+ addressed.
That's the newer iCX technology, which is the next step up from the ACX series. Meant to be even better, but I have yet to try it myself. It has multiple temp sensors around the board, so it can detect which area is heating up and applies more focus towards that (aka one fan might increasing it's speed, rather than all of them). It's more intelligent as such keeping both noise vs heat levels down under high load.
Happy gaming on that! Should be a beast :D
