HB bridge SLI vs. 2x Ribbon (FLEX SLI)
I saw some youtube videos, that there is literally no difference (a whole channel dedicated to it, testing every high-graphics game from Fallout 4, Witcher 3 and others).

The issue at hand:

I bought a second (from specs identical) graphicscard, but found out upon delivery and building it into my system, that it is lower than my other graphics card.

The cards I#m talking about are 1080 TI with the same stats and same everything, aside from how high they are.

So I can't use my HB bridge (hard SLI bridge), because it literally would break off the connector if I'd bend it any further.

So my question: Seeing the video comparisons, the SLI FLEXBRIDGE seems just as GOOD.

What do you say?

I take it you mean different widths, so they won't be quite the same as they are different models, yes you can use 2 flexible cables and the results I've seen are mixed from using a hb2 bridge Vs 2 flexible ones, to help them work together you'll probably want to tune them to match in afterburner as even 2 identical cards can end up clocking and running slightly different due to silicon lottery.
Which 2 cards do you have ?

Also, if you've gone to the expense of s?I, you clearly want ALL the performance regardless of cost so the new hb bridge makes sense, when it fits.

Question: Are all flex-sli cables the same? Is there a difference in quality somewhere?
Also - does it matter how long they are? I want it as long as possible. WIll that possibly negate some performance?

Really appreciate some answers on those particular questions.

Cable being long wouldn't negate performance IMHO, as for HB-SLi vs old ribbon cables, the difference is miniscule:

If you can't fit the HB, use ribbons and don't overthink it.

Really appreciate it. Thanks! Buying some SLI flexbridges for 3 bucks right now. No SLI for the weekend though. Sad!

What are you trying to achieve anyway? I sold the second 1080 Ti when I noticed that I had to take out my sound card (lack of PCI-E lanes) and I listen to music a lot.

Single 1080 Ti does my 4k panel just fine.
