Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0

Does anyone have this program at home? It appears to self install for those with specific Intel CPUs (I have the 10 core 6950X at home). But does anyone know what it does? And should I turn it on or off ? is it even benefitual for gaming?

Intel at the factory will choose a random core (it's marked with an asterisk in UEFI BIOS). What It allows you to do is overclock that core more than the rest so single-threaded applications run slightly smoother.

Yes you are right. I did a quick 10 secs google search right before posting and all I found was "Now available on select Intel® Core™ X-series processor family for Intel® X299 platforms." So I assumed only x299.

Now I clicked the second (I know, mind = blown) search result in Google and this is what it said:

• Intel® Core™ i7-6950X and i9-7980XE Extreme Edition Processors
  
• Intel® Core™ i7-6800K, i7-6850K, i7-6900K, i7-7820X, i9-7900X, i9-7920X, i9-7940X and i9-7960X Processors
  
• Intel® Xeon® Processor E5 1600 v4 Family

So indeed certain x99 CPUs also supports Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0.

Just disable SpeedStep and Turbo; you don't need it.
And it's no program, it's a BIOS feature that toggles that on/off for the Chipset/CPU.
Then put WinOS on High Performance in Power Options.
Then run a Core-Unparking app and unpark all cores, apply and then reboot.
