gpu not working to its full potential
i dont know if im posting this in the right place but hopfully somone will help. i'm new to pc and i don't know much about it so sorry if i don't understand you. so i recently brought a new gpu its a nvidia gt 1030 and i put it into my computer and then downloaded the drivers for it but when i finished that i went into a game of csgo and it was running around 35fps on high and i was so confused because all the videos i saw of the gpu were running csgo on high at around 100fps so iv been looking everywhere for a way to fix this and i cant. i disabled the integrated graphics and i updated my bios but that did nothing. my specs are
cpu: AMD A4-7300 APU 3.80ghz
gpu: nvidia gt1030
ram: 8gb but for some reason it will only let me use 6.96gb
motherboard: ASROCK fm2a88m-hd+ R3.0
windows 10 64bit

i really need some help, i don't know whats going on

Make sure you have your monitor plugged in to the GPU and not the motherboard.
Disable your integrated GPU in the BIOS.

Double check that your CPU isn’t holding you back.

Triple check what resolution and video settings you are gaming at.

how do i check if my cpu is holding me back
Omega 9/out./2017 às 3:10
It's a 30 euro APU so I wouldn't be suprised if it is bottlenecking.
A Pentium G4560 is 2x as powerful as the A4.

Install and run MSI afterburner and then check the logs after gaming for 15 minutes.

If the APU is running at 100% and the GPU only at 50% the APU is bottlenecking.

What do you get in the Half-Life 2: Lost Coast benchmark?
Friskyweed 9/out./2017 às 3:20
ok yeah my apu is definitely bottlenecking my gpu. my apu is at 100% with my gpu only being around 60%. so what cheap cpu do u recommend me getting

There is nothing really worth upgrading to on the FM2+ platform. It would be best if you wait for a few months and buy a Coffee lake Pentium/i3 or Ryzen3 12nm. You will have to buy a new CPU, RAM and motherboard.

The Intel Core i3 8000 series is fantastic.
Quad core, with an IPC of over 25.

We don't know yet since the cheap motherboards that support the CPUs we recommend will release early next year.

If you are desperate and want to update NOW, buy this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Ffd6yf

But I highly recommend you to wait for the new CPUs and non overclockable motherboards. They will deliver close to 50% more performance while costing about the same.

He doesn’t need to wait, Australia 🇦🇺 already has heaps of stock.

Your RAM is at that amount because your CPUs Integrated graphics is using it
As said, disable the in the BIOS and you'll regain your RAM
You say you did that already but if so it shouldnt still be using the RAM

Also
Make sure your monitor is connected to the GT 1030 and NOT the back of the motherboard.
