bsod is most likely driver or os config when adding/removing display quickly
Yes it was rather some drivers I guess
but yes, it is possible.
So it must be the TV 2 computers 2 HDMI cables, can't fault the PC when it's not connected to the TV, but it randomly Freezes when it is. Complete freeze no events no control the picture just goes funky and requires a forced reset.
Not sure if you'll see this monk but you just saved me a load of frustration. Was playing control for 90 minutes and suddenly my screen went blank. When I went dvi only it worked fine. When I plugged in the hdmi immediate crash. Me: "it's this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tv!" Nope my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pc building skills.
Thanks again.
sorry to revive this topic again after 3 years the latest update.. i google on internet and this topic come out on first searched title.. because i have the same issue but im using dp cable...
whats funny on my case is, i have tighten my cable like this guy comment above and then i realize my monitor cable got hard squeeze with my table's feet.. i rearrange my cable management, and BAM!! zero bluescreen..
in conclusion about this case, i do think cable matter since this is where gpu send data to monitor to display the outpout..
btw tq all for this thread
you could have jumped a card with metal and caused an arc and shorted something out. perhaps. i did that once with a analogue audio connector. all it did was reboot.
