Steam Link and PS4 Controller Help
Hey guys, so I bought a steam link and the whole streaming and everything works great. My issue is using the DS4 controller with it. Whether I plug it in via USB or I connect it via Bluetooth, the button mapping is really strange. For example I need to hit the X button to go back and Square now means select. I'm pretty sure the triangle and Circle buttons are switched now too.

So this wasn't that big of an inconvenience however when I play any game inside of Steam Link, all of the controls are messed up in more ways than I described for the Big Picture navigation. For example the Witcher, the right and left triggers rotate the camera and the Square button pauses the game. It's all messed up.

I am not sure what to do in this situation and the Steam ticket supports suggestions were either vague or didn't work for me.

That's going to occur no matter what when it comes to mapping; visual on Sony Controllers vs Actual; since in-game controls are based around Xbox Controllers. So yes, they are reversed X>Y and A>B just like how it shows on Nintendo WiiU / Switch layout.

In the controller menu in the Steam Link(not Steam's BPM while streaming), while the DS4 controller is selected, there's a prompt for remapping the controller(since the controls are reversed for you, you might have to press the square button). From there, just follow the prompts on which buttons to press and you should be good.
