Yes. Maybe even on high-medium high.
No. The CPU and GPU are frankly to slow, yes, it would run, but it won't be a good experience.
The desktop equivalent to the 940MX would be a 730, it is a very low performance graphics card and I definitely wouldn't recommend it at that price.

If you can pay more, this is a much better deal as it uses the desktop version of the 1050Ti since Nvidia have now moved on from manufacturing mobile graphics cards.

AMD APU. Avoid.

That PC is a huge scam. It will run Microsoft Offic and Google Chrome not games..

Here you go: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/r4Q37h
- Use Windows 10 unactivated until you can afford a license.

Either build it yourself or let a local PC shop build it for you.

Building a PC is easy it's like playing with LEGO. Follow a tutorial online and you will be fine.
As omega kind of brings up,do you NEED a laptop? As if you don't, you will get far better value and performance out of a desktop.

I don't absolutely need a laptop. I'll get the PC omega talked about if there's no objections of quality?

I didn't bring it up because OP linked a desktop in the post I quoted.
As the op seems to have a slightly bigger budget than omegas build, I would wait for the new 8th gen parts to launch tomorrow and look to go with a new i3, either the 8100 or 8350k along with a z370 motherboard which will give some space to grow, or make the swap to a ryzen 1400, both options should be fairly close to his original price but offer better performance.

By less than 5%. An acceptable loss in itself, it's mainly pricing and thermal factors that bog many laptops down.

You'll still see the difference when it starts throttling.

Hence thermal factors.

Yes but they are still not M series graphics card and there will be no more M series GPU models manufactured in the future.

No, that's a terrible purchase. Since you seem set on going for a pre-built under a range of £500, I'm going to post a few builds.

Unfortunately, there are many computers that list themselves at gaming PC's in between the £500-1000 range and many of them undercut heavily on parts. I recommend staying away from any pre-built computers from stores like Very as you will often find a build that is highly overpriced.

This is a much better buy with an Intel Pentium G4560 and a GTX 1050Ti 4GB and 8GB of RAM, I would recommend changing the primary hard drive for an SSD for your OS and adding a secondary HDD if you intend to install many games.

Here are some benchmarks from the specification of the system I posted.

The build I posted from AWD-IT is also 30% off for a limited time and it comes with a 3 year warranty, it would usually cost £599.99.

Do you think I could find a website that isn't a custom build one with something like that?
I know it's inconvenient but I have personal reasons. Or at least one that's very trusted.
