GALAX (KFA2) GTX 1060 6 GB OC
So I finally decided to buy a GTX 1060 6GB during black Friday sales, I see many models available, I know EVGA and MSI are the best, but I also saw a GALAX (KFA2) GTX 1060 6 GB at a very discounted price.
So, should I buy this cheap model or should I go with premium ones?

Get whatever one you want, the difference are not that much for performance.

Galax is great, don't worry about it.

It'll be a good card.
Do you think it will be able to keep 2,000 MHZ on core clock? I saw benchmarks of others1060 but nothing about this particular one.
yo just dont worry, they dont exactly make it the performance different. They just manufacture and make it.

nvidia makes the basic blueprint, companies like asus, evga, and galax just manufacture and brand it and all that crap

What is their warranty now? A while back I had a Galaxy GT 430 that began failing intermittently just after its one year warranty expired and eventually would not even respond during boot. It says GALAX on this card, but when I scrolled down to the bottom of the page it did say Galaxy Microsystems Ltd. That GT 430 is the only graphics card I have had fail.

Never had any problems using same PC from 2010 with its original GT 220, EVGA GTX 550 Ti that replaced the GT 430, MSI GTX 750 Ti, or current Asus GTX 1060 since then with original Dell PSU.

It looks like a quality product and maybe they improved their quality. Definitely see if their warranty is longer than a year now. There is no excuse for a graphics card to fail.

Core clock, no, it won't hit 2k, boost clock should do though, it's why the base clocks are kind of meaningless on 10 series cards turbo boost 3 basically plays silicon lottery for you, most cards will hit 2k a few won't, temps play a HUGE part in it, with a potential max clock dropping slightly from 60 ish degrees upwards to a no not getting it anymore around 80.
