Always listen to your AV, if it says something is infected with malware quarantine the .exe or file and remove it. There is no need to nuke your OS, you will be fine.
If you have any issues with your PC you can ask for help here on the Steam forums or look up a fix on Toms Hardware or similar tech websites.
Alright, won’t download anything like that again. But my AVAST! Antivirus quarantined it and then I deleted it from the virus chest but I’m still concerned if my PC is safe or not. I did a full scan with the antivirus and malware bytes and both didn’t detect anything.
Well since I’m here I may as well ask how do I resolve the issue where if I press alt+tab my game gets a black screen there’s still sound but keyboard becomes unresponsive to access task manager to kill the game and this started happening with the most recent windows 10 update.
Download DDU app and use it to delete your GPU drivers via safe mode. Then download and install the latest drivers for your GPU from the Intel/AMD website.

AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
Most likely the Fall Creators update.
The build new number starts with 1709 and unfortunately I deleted the previous build that was installed so I can’t roll back to the 1703 build.
Thanks for the links but I don’t even know how to boot into safe mode with windows 10 unlike windows 7 which used F8 to go into the boot menu.
Don't worry. DDU will reboot and enter into safe mode automatically, do its thing and then reboot back into normal Windows again.
Just install it and follow the instructions.
HOLD the SHIFT KEY when choosing restart from startmenu or while starting computer/resetting
If you need "Cleaner" software, then Advance System Care from the same site is what youd be looking for, or CCleaner at the very least.
