Laptop keyboard input lag. Please help

Hi, for the last few weeks i have experienced a worsening keyboard lag. It all started after playing gta5 on this computer (if that makes any sense).

The problem I am having is that after holding down W for a few seconds and releasing it, my character keeps moving forward. This started in gta5, but has since started affecting all games. Does anyone have any tips that might help with this?

A few noteworthy things might be:
This started happening with GTAV, but has since started happening in all games.
The longer I have played in a session, the worse it gets.
It only affects the W button.
The error is also present after closing the game (f.ex text editors), but gets better over time. 3minutes and the problem is gone.
I have cleaned under my W key.
I have latest graphics driver.

Does anyone have the same problem and/or know how to solve this?

Monitor/Check CPU & GPU Temps (*C)
As it's often caused when either of those thermal-throttle.

Hmm. Both are 70~71*C when this happens. Not too bad

Do you have 8GB of RAM?
That usually can do it too, best bet is just save/quit the game, reboot and relaunch the game.
Really helps to have 12-16GB of RAM for games like GTAV.

Yeah, its 8, but this no longer happens to GTA only unfortunately. Even the source games has this problem now. Non steam games too. Im going to try an external keyboard tomorrow, and possibly wipe up some more ♥♥♥♥ from underneath my W button
