What's Dedicated Video RAM?

When I type in to google (game name) can I run it, the first page that shows up is www.systemrequirementslab.com and when I go there it says the minimum requirements for the game and there's the dedicated video ram and on most games it's like 1-2GBs and it says I only have 16MBs, what? Can I dedicate more ram or something? I can run most of the games though even without it, but I think this could improve the performance.

With a laptop like this where it has no dedicated GPU and just has the IGPU that is built onto CPU, it takes some of the system memory and uses it as VRAM.

It looks like it is using 2gb of your ram, IGPU's share your system ram.

VRAM is indeed memory for the graphics chip and no you can't add more VRAM.

You can but it is already using 2gb of it and you are going to want the other 4gb for your system. Allotting more to the IGPU would not help you at all.

You can't add dedicated memory, you can add more ram and share more with the IGPU but it's not dedicated but rather shared and with that laptop it would not help.
