What the heck is up with those weird chinabrand USB flashes?
Im in need of a new USB flash to backup my PSD files. I browsed trough Aliexpress just so, and there are loads of brands and they look all the same, like 3-4 different designs but dozens of different brands on them - Wansenda, Leizhan, Moweek, Suntrsi, -other weirds name come here-

Is the same crap made in same factory? Are they even reliable? Im also quite suspicious towards some of the branded there and on ebay, since they look kinda fake - especially the Transcends.

Any good tip for a 32/64GB 3.0/3.1?

On ali, defective parts are sold from the same factories as original spare parts, sometimes they are repaired by hand, sometimes - the controller is reflashed to give out for a larger capacity model(fake)...
I do not understand why so "save on matches", and buy yourself additional problems?
buy transcend\kingston SDXC cards (any volume and quantity) + usb adapter = profit!

Nah, I didn't really wanted buy cause my drawings are way too important to lose it on the bottom of some ching-cheng branded flash drive. It was more like a curiosity since there is so many of them and they are also sold quite well, mostly to russia or south america though (according user reviews)

I do have a external card reader shaped like a flash. Have seen some good deals on Samsung SDXC and Apacer 3.1 flash drives. 2€ more isnt worth for the trouble.

Sarcasm is my another name :steammocking:. But as for the fake components, it's just an experience - google photos of fake gadgets made by Russian-language users "Chinese real-size flash drives" or "chinese external hdd" - sd card+reader+iron nuts - there are thousands of sites devoted to how to determine fakes, how to restore the original firmware and size, etc.

I've already stopped buying flash drives for several years, and I take Kingston \ Transcend SDXC (I already have a mini-reader) - I do not see any problems with them, (they are forged too, but fakes are better than Sony, A-Data, Apacer and others)

I see. Yes I looked at Transcend too. Until now I had mainly Kingston and Emtec flash drives and SD cards. In my phone I have a Samsung.
ADATA I stopped to buy in general, I remember that Apacer used by good mid-2000, but I take your opinion as a fact.

Just take it as granted that we live in a high-tech century, where can be forged not only items, but people (cloning) :summersun:
Do not trust anyone you do not know personally (but they does not always have to be trusted - they can be genuinely wrong)
Forged all brands. One less, others more. And the quality of counterfeits is different: for example, they issue slow flash drives for high-speed ones and vice versa.

Im thinking about Transcend. Appreantly some of the current cheaper Kingstons have some issues with slow memories. Seems Kingston now cheaps out also on USB flashes after their horrible V300 SSDs.

Yes, Kingston is slower ... but more reliable, and it is forged a little less (in our region) than Transcend (but Transcend have good compact usb card reader)

I ended up with a Transcend JetFlash 700.
Kingston G4 seems have some negative reviews about the used memory and Apacer, well its Apacer.

My hentai drawings are now safe.

Hmm... I'm talk about something like MobileLite G4 \RDF5 +SDXC cards or MobileLite Duo 3C + microSDXC \UHS... you buy USB stick - they are all Phison controllers inside, no real difference :summersun:
