Estimated FX 6300 stock Fan Speed
Hi

Can anyone tell me the average speed i should expect for an Stock Cooler of FX 6300 in tropical area ?

Add: Im worried that my fan speed exceeds nominal levels. (It is 3500 - 5000)

Mobo is Gigabyte 78LMT-S2PT (v 4.1)

Depends on the motherboard.

Also, why do you want to know? It doesn't really matter.

Speed also depends on the fan diameter. Stock fans are usually smaller and therefore they turn faster. 3500 should be normal, 5000 feels a bit fast.
My Bequiet doesnt exceeds 1500 rpm, but is a 120mm.

Generally doesnt matters as long you dont have noise or overheating issues.

The temp hovers around 25-30 on idle and near 50-55C on load
Thats actually a great temp for a AMD FX, which generally runs a bit hotter as the new Ryzen line due the higher TDP.

You basically have the same temps as I have on my AMD Ryzen 1600 with a aftermarket BeQuiet cooler.

Nothing to worry about.

Fan also have a designed max rpm, it will never go over this unless forced, which will never occur from the Motherboard. This basically only happens when blowing out systems during a cleaning process; i.e. over-powered air compressors for example.

Ditch the stock cooler and get a nice 120mm tower cooler if the noise is a concern, or the temps get out of hand. But it's not going over 60*C at any times, then you should be ok with regards to CPU Temp

Well yes, there is, because Ryzen has a much higher max temp, like Intel does.
AMD AM2/AM3 stuff is around 65*C Max; Ryzen can safely run well above that range, FX can't

I don't know what overpowered air compressors means. As you may know i wanna do a lil upgrade , later on to balance my CPU and GPU.

Interesting I though since is a 65W TDP CPU, my AMD Ryzen would run a lot colder. One of reasons why I didnt bought AMD for years, was previously the high TDP.
But it has even a few extra celsius more as my previous 77W i5 does. Though as long will not show on the lifespan, I don't care.

The weird thing is at night the fan speed was < 3000 at all times for same temp.

Well that can also all depend on BIOS Settings for Fan Profile if you have CPU Fan setup for PWM. If you were to try the Fan @ full speed I bet it would be a different story.

At least the Ryzen stock coolers aren't trash like AMD's previous Gens, or the Intel coolers.

Because it has more to do with CPU Loads too, not just the CPU Temp

Ambient temp @ night could be 24-25 C where as it was 28-30C during day. Could that be causing it. Loads were same at night and during day.
at like under 40*C, the cooler should be near silent
