Any downsides to a 1920x1200 monitor?
I’ve always gone with standard 1080p for my monitors but I’m thinking about buying something different for a change. Will the ratio cause any compatibility issues with games/ apps at all?

One more thing...should I even go for a dell ultrasharp u2415? It seems like a really good monitor for the price
That is really totally up to you because a 16x10 monitor, though narower, has a smaller fottprint in width than a monitor with 16x9 aspect ratio. If you want a 16x10 monitor...you probably cannot go wrong with that one.
It’s less about the res and more about the quality of the monitor
If you're going to go 16:10 1200p, Dell UltraSharp are some of the best IPS there are for this res.
i use 1920x 1200 and have done for 10 years and have never had any problems with games not supporting the resolution.. to me its a far better image than 1080p ,,,
It is a larger screen, games will have less fps.
For working it is great, for gaming not so much, if you need the fps.
It IS great for games with lots of chat windows and such.

Fps won’t be an issue tbh. Right now it’s probably way over
I've been using a 16x10 (28', 1920 x 1200) for a couple years. Run a lot of older games and have never ran across one that doesn't support a 16 x 10 resolution. It has a feature where you can run 16x9 with very small letterboxing, I've never used it.
But I am extremely cheap.
