Adding Parts to a refurbished PC
Hello, I've been considering what I want in a computer for a few weeks and I have finally figured out what i'm going to do.

I'm going to buy a refurbished PC on amazon which is still in good shape and has adequete pieces. Then I'm going to replace a processor or Graphics card.

Here are the PC's I found that are in the running.

https://www.amazon.com/HP-Quad-Core-Windows-10-Refurbished/dp/B01CV9G1BO/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1505064925&sr=1-1&keywords=desktop+pc&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A7817224011%7C13580791011%7C13580790011%2Cp_n_feature_fourteen_browse-bin%3A2057441011%2Cp_36%3A-30000%2Cp_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A8080209011

Alright this one has an intel core i5-3470 3.2GHz Quad core which will run at recommended levels on the games I like, so that's great. I don't even have to replace the Processor, just the Graphics Card.
8GB RAM
500GB Hard drive

https://www.amazon.com/HP-Processor-Professional-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B01JEFY2LE/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1505065604&sr=1-1&keywords=hp+6300+pro+small+form

This one I'm liking more. I'll still have to replace the graphics and that's it.
Intel core i5-3470 3.2GHz
16GB RAM
2TB Hard drive

All I'm asking is which graphics card I should get to run games like dead by daylight, alien isolation, pubg, rainbow six etc.

most likely no you can not reuse it your always better off building your own .. but you wanna be cheap ..buy those old refurbs .. remember on any of those you have no bios options to overclock.. they run AS IS with no warranty and no HP or dell bios supports any overclock at all and always come with cheap ram , and usually bad cheap slow hard drives

Ok, here is my build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tJ3NtJ

The only problem is it says this
Some Intel H81 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

Will this be a problem

you see i tried to do this before but it didnt work out. your better of making a whole new pc. gpu wont fit and probably wont be compatible, power supply is hard to find and expensive for one like urs, case is too slim and probabpy will overheat because it probably doesnt have top of the line cooling so. clock speed isnt everything for a cpu. There are some pcs with a i7 7700k without a dedicated gpu that are pretty much terrible.

plus these computers are too cheap to even be upgradable. I can pretty much bet you that a computer at this cost will not be upgradable

GDDR5 on a graphics card refers to dedicated graphics RAM on the graphics card and has nothing to do with system RAM. Graphics cards fit into a PCI Express 16 slot, hopefully at least PCIe 2.0 which is compatible with PCIe 3.0 cards. Any modern graphics card would be wasted on PCIe 1.0 (tried that on old PC, works, but too slow). And it should have room for a full height dual slot graphics card which would rule out most slim cases. One rather old Optiplex I grabbed frin work with mid-tower case does not have room for dual slot graphics card (CPU fan shroud is in the way). Really old office PC's only have VGA and used their PCIe slot for single slot card for DVI.

I would also be apprehensive about a PSU on an HP. The overrated PSU on an HP desktop PC I bought in 2004 would not even boot with mild graphics card upgrade (AGP at that time), its overrated 250 watt PSU could not even boot half that (AC input measured with Kill A Watt meter after upgrading PSU to conservative 330 watts).

Dell PSU's are more conservatively rated, I had no trouble running an old Dell 305 watt PSU drawing 240 watts. It had plenty of power on the 12 volt rail to power a 116 watt GTX 550 Ti using 2 IDE power plugs into 6-pin graphics power adapter.

outdated 4th gen, slow hdd, low-end psu.. no.

If u are rdy to build a pc, spent your money on current hardware.

Like that one, cost a bit more, but atleast quality parts and current gen.

That i7 vs a modern i3: http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-2600-vs-Intel-Core-i3-7100/620vs3891

Also almost that entire part list will not be compatible with the i7 2600.

The pentium comes with a cooler, so the evo is optional.

Also the psu is low-end...
