Only voltage could kill your GPU. All other settings are safe to play with.

Yes you should set power limit to max.

All that can happen by changing Clocks too much is having the GPU lock up; nothing more.
Just don't play with any Voltages and your'e fine. If something gets unstable, slightly lower your clock speeds and re-test what was crashing.

Sometimes you might not regain stability until you reboot your OS.

if you're going for maximum overclock, yes. the higher the voltage, the more you need to raise the power limit to maintain your frequency.

the downside is you're going to get higher temps and louder fans. that's why i prefer undervolting and a more conservative overclock. i generally don't go above 10 on power limit.
