will i get longer battery life if i don't use dedicated GPU?

so i have a laptop that i used for 2 things.. first i used it for gaming and second i used it for designing (Photoshop, CorelDraw, ect.)

i'm just wondering if i can get better battery life if i use my Photoshop and CorelDraw to Integrated Graphics..

i have a mobile GTX 1050 but i don't think Photoshop need to run with a graphics card that high.. so i'm just wondering if i put it to my Integrated Graphics (Intel HD 630) will i get longer battery life?

Possible, but don't expect much, Photoshop is more dependent on the CPU to render stuff.

NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Add the program > Set Power Management to Adaptive.

Now that App will never use the NVIDIA GPU.

If you want to force the NVIDIA GPU, set Power Management to Prefer Max Performance

Honestly, you don't work with such devices while on Battery; why on earth would you ever do that, makes no sense.

For 2D rendering like photoshop the videocard is pretty much irrelevant. It's all done on the CPU.

by the way i don't know why but when my laptop's battery reaches 7% it just force shut down the laptop.. it doesn't hibernate.. it shuts down..

the annoying part is even if i'm working on something when it shuts down it doesn't even giving me any option to cancel the shut down to save..

the more weird part is in the Advanced Power Options the 'Critical batter action' is already set to 'Hibernate'

Don't go below 10-15% battery; common sense.

Don't work while on Battery, or at least, save your work if battery runs low, very simple.
